Database Officer- Handicap International


Position: Database Officer - 1
Responsible to: Emergency Coordinator
Location: Dadaab refugee camps
Closing date: Open
Family status: Non family duty station


THE POSITION

The Database Officer contributes towards the development and management of the data base for Persons with Disability (PWDs) including technical support to incentive workers in the “Vulnerability Desk” and in the “Mobile Emergency Response units” (MERU). He/she is responsible of disability data collection and control and any other related bio-data information. He/she has to adhere to the principle of confidentiality.
He/she will be responsible for:

1. Be the custodian and manager of the disability data collection and quality control and any other related bio-data information with utmost accuracy and confidentiality
2. Computerizing client’s bio data and follow up
3. Maintaining the database software and suggesting updates and improvements
4. Generating statistics reports on monthly basis and as per request
5. Performing any other duties assigned by the Emergency Coordinator

Qualifications and skills required


Education
 Relevant training in ICT from a recognized institution

Experience
 Minimum 2 year practical experience in data entry
 Previous experience in INGO is an added advantage
